TechNews (G10G3PBL5) – MHIS Showcase

Hello everyone, Assalamualaikum!

We are from Group 3, for this PBL Project our group decided to make a News Anchoring video talking about technology. In our group we have Fahri as the leader, Cecil as the vice leader, and the other members are Naura and Fatih.

Fahri as the leader of our group decided on our roles and tasks for each member.

Job Distribution :

  • Fahri will be the source person for the Chemistry part and be the newsperson for the Physics and Math part.
  • Cecil will be the source person for the Math part and be the host for the Chemistry part.
  • Naura will be the reporter for the Physics part and in the Biology part, Naura will be a host.
  • and Fatih will be the source person in Biology and Physics.

This was our 5th time doing the project and this year was different from last year, since we have never made a news anchoring video before. It was quite a challenge finding the right topics to discuss so that all the learning objectives are covered. Thankfully, we came up with a solution.

We combined the Physics and Math part into one segment, in which we start by reporting a news story about a man who was struck by lightning. From there, we connected the story with the Physics learning objective where we explained all about voltmeters and ammeters. Then, we connected the story to the Math learning objective where we presented the data of the number of deaths because of lightning strikes in Indonesia from 2000 until 2021 using a frequency polygon. We also presented the mean, mode, and range of the data.

For the Chemistry part, we made a talk show segment where Fahri acted as a metallurgist and Cecil acted as the talk show host. Cecil then asked questions about metals and Fahri answered the questions.

For the Biology part, we made it into another news segment but this time it was set in the evening. Naura acted as the news anchor and Fatih acted as a biomedical engineer. They then talked about biotechnology and genetic engineering.

Overall, the experience was challenging, but we got through it because every member could work together well and we could count on each other. We had fun doing this project and we hope that we can make even better projects in the future.

Please leave a like and comment on our video and see you in the next PBL.

Thank you!
